A BUTLER'S PANTRY - YAY OR NAY?

A Butler’s Pantry, or ‘BP’ in Three Birds lingo, was a luxury we simply couldn’t afford in our first houses in terms of both money and space, but we’re happy to announce that we have finally created one in Bon’s Dream Home! Now we’re not all going to die wondering if they’re worth it – it’s mega! Actually, it’s more of a butler’s kitchen than pantry.

THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT BAR STOOLS

It seems that our Three Birds Gang have a bit of a thing for bar stools! Remember the timber and black ‘tractor stools’ we used in House 4? Bonnie picked them because the black legs complemented the black knobs and the tap in the kitchen. We had no idea that they’d become the most asked about furniture we’d used - EVER!

And then you guys nearly broke the internet, selling out Ziggy stools like the ones Bonnie used in her dream home, overnight! They’re the ones at the main island bench… not to be confused with the three other styles of bar stools Bon chose for her dream home! #nothingbyhalves

HOW GREAT THOU ART

Artwork is such a personal choice. What floats one person’s boat isn’t always the next person’s cup of tea #whitewithoneplease. That said, I for one, love Bon’s choices of artwork in her dream home. True to her eclectic style she’s chosen different artists and a range styles but what they’ve got in common is that they all look amazing on those big white walls #bonniesdreamgallery #moveoverMOMA

Not in Bonnie’s dream home! #nowayrose Once again, she’s knocked it out of the ballpark with her styling. This time with the bedrooms for her four boys. The kids love them as much as the adults… so, how did she get it so right?

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS

So tell us, what do you see when you look at this bedhead? Honey Jumbles or Ladyfingers… or some other delicious sweet biscuit? 🤷🏻‍♀️

TBH, we were still busy trying to work out whether Lana called Bon’s choice of bedhead ‘clever’ or ‘pleather’ when we got eleventy billion messages saying “I want to eat that bedhead!” Say, whaaat?

SEE DERELICT QUEENSLANDER TURNED BYRON BAY BEAUTY

We love a good reno challenge so were super excited when Julie Granger announced her project to the Reno School Community. Her plan was to relocate an old Queenlander home to a plot of land in the Byron Bay Hinterland… while project managing from 800kms away in Sydney… during a global pandemic. That’s no mean feat and you’ll be amazed when you see what Julie pulled off - it’s stunning and she shared the journey with us.

VACAY VIBES FROM THE SAFETY OF YOUR LOUNGE ROOM

Have your holidays been cancelled courtesy of COVID? Grrrr… yes, mine too! A few months back I realised the overseas trip I had planned for the family in December was not going to happen. And now, with Australian borders shut and cities in lockdown, it’s looking like our domestic vacay plans might be replaced with a Sydney staycation too.
